Music Route

 According to timeline guides (such as the Perfect Guide), this route has events where Shintaro does not leave his house and kills Ene and himself, as depicted in Route XX of Losstime Memory. The route ultimately ends with a rewind. Children Record and Summertime Record serve as the opening and ending of the series.

08.15. -<5 Years

  • Ayaka and Kenjirou die in a landslide, and the latter receives the Snake of Clearing Eyes.

Before 08.15. -2 Years

  • The Snake of Clearing Eyes, acting towards Kenjirou's wish to see Ayaka again, makes a plan to bring all the snakes to the real world to create a new Medusa that can merge the Kagerou Daze and the real world together.
    • The Snake of Clearing Eyes begins its plans to kill Takane and Haruka to make them contact the Kagerou Daze.
  • Ayano and Shintaro meet in middle school as classmates.
  • Ayano learns of the Snake of Clearing Eyes and its plan to bring all the snakes from the Kagerou Daze to the real world and then kill all human snake owners to create a new Medusa. She begins to make her own plan to save her friends and family.
  • Ayano and Shintaro enter high school and befriend Takane and Haruka.
  • Takane starts having feelings for Haruka.

08.15. -2 Years

  • The Snake of Clearing Eyes orchestrates Haruka's and Takane's deaths.
  • Takane receives the Snake of Opening Eyes; her body remains in Kenjirou's lab while her mind becomes Ene and enters the cyberspace.
  • Haruka's body receives the Snake of Awakening Eyes and becomes Konoha, while Haruka's mind remains in the Kagerou Daze.
  • Ayano falls off her school's rooftop, receives the Snake of Favoring Eyes, and remains in the Kagerou Daze.

After 08.15. -2 Years

  • Shintaro, having lost his friends Ayano, Haruka and Takane, drops out of school and becomes a shut-in.
  • Kido, Seto, and Kano leave the Tateyama household and relocate to their own hideout.
  • Marry leaves her cottage in the forest and joins the Mekakushi Dan.
  • Momo debuts as an idol.
  • Ene emails herself to Shintaro and begins to live in his computer.

08.14.00 (Present Day)

08.15.00

  • The Snake of Clearing Eyes orchestrates the deaths of Hibiya and Hiyori, while Konoha also enters the Daze with them as an "outsider".
  • Shintaro deletes Ene and commits suicide.
  • Momo cheers up Hibiya, who is upset after losing Hiyori.
  • Kano shares his past with an unknown person.
  • The Snake of Clearing Eyes moves to Konoha's body, killing Kenjirou, and attacks the rest of the Mekakushi Dan, killing them. This characterizes the 'Tragedy' that strikes the Mekakushi Dan in every Route besides Anime Route.
  • Marry gathers the snakes of her killed friends, turns the Snake of Clearing Eyes (in Konoha's body) into stone, and rewinds the world.

Notes

  • Losstime Memory depicts two routes: Route 01 and Route XX. The end of Manga Route 2 shows Shintaro waking up in an outfit he wears in Route XX, indicating that Route XX takes place after Manga Route 2. Route 01 Shintaro is depicted having Retaining Eyes, which happens only after Manga Route 2.
  • Shintaro from route(s) outside of Route XX has been depicted in the MVs of Kisaragi Attention, Otsukimi Recital, and Outer Science, as shown by the fact that he is outside and wearing his red jacket. However, his actions in Route XX are considered to be what happens in the Music Route according to official timeline guides.

Kagerou Project Timeline Guide

Kagerou Project is a  Japanese mixed-media project by Vocaloid music producer   Jin , featuring artists   Sidu ,   Wannyanpoo , and   Mahiro Satou . The series tells the story of the   Mekakushi Dan , a group of teenagers with unusual powers called " Eye Abilities ", and their struggle through numerous time loops. The story is set in   Kashiwa ,   Chiba Prefecture , Japan.
